Statement from Lupe M. Rodríguez, Executive Director at the National Latina Institute for Reproductive Justice on the Trump-Vance administration’s freeze on all federal assistance:
“The Trump-Vance administration’s latest order to freeze funding for critical federal programs that support Latine communities across the country is alarming and disturbing. Title X, CHIP, TANF, and the other programs this administration wants to freeze are crucial for families to get the healthcare and assistance that they need and depend on. Freezing these programs will jeopardize the health and livelihood of our communities and potentially have devastating long-term effects.”
“We will not stand by while this administration blatantly tries to take away the freedoms and programs that support families and strengthen our communities.”
