Statement from Lupe M. Rodríguez, Executive Director of the National Latina Institute for Reproductive Justice, on the confirmation of Robert F. Kennedy Jr. to lead the Department of Health and Human Services

“We strongly condemn RFK Jr.’s confirmation as Secretary of the Department of Health and Human Services. We’re alarmed by his blatant disregard for science-based health care and his refusal to protect essential sexual and reproductive health care, especially as our communities already face barriers to accessing care and making our own decisions about our bodies and lives. At a time when we desperately need to ensure that everyone has access to health care, RFK Jr. is hellbent on pushing dangerous conspiracies that will do nothing to improve our health or safety.”
