The National Hispanic Leadership Agenda names Jessica González-Rojas its new Vice Chair

Washington, D.C. —Today, the National Hispanic Leadership Agenda (NHLA),  a coalition of the nation’s leading 45 Latino organizations working towards policy solutions addressing the needs of this nation’s 58 million Latinos, announced Jessica González-Rojas as its new Vice Chair. González-Rojas currently serves as the Executive Director of the National Latina Institute for Reproductive Health, the only national reproductive justice organization that specifically works to advance reproductive health and rights for Latinas. In this capacity, she successfully forges connections between reproductive health, gender, immigration, LGBTQ liberation, labor and Latino civil rights, breaking down barriers between movements and building a strong Latina grassroots presence. She has been a leader in progressive movements for two decades.​

Regarding her new role at NHLA, González-Rojas made the following statement:

“I look forward to serving in the leadership of the coalition to advance our community’s goals and ensure that there is a strong intersectional analysis on gender justice, reproductive health and LGBTQ liberation in all our work. Latino/as are a diverse and dynamic community and we are embedded in the fabric of the United States; our voice should always be centered in the national conversation on democracy, health, immigration, education, the environment and economic policy.”  ​

Jessica brings an unwavering commitment to attaining health, dignity, and justice for the Latino/a community, and will play a pivotal role in furthering the goals of the National Hispanic Leadership Agenda.  ​
