Sheila is currently majoring at The Edward J. Bloustein School of Planning and Public Policy at Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, New Brunswick and she expects to earn her Bachelor of Science degree in May 2010. Her aspirations include to one day become a nursing home administrator and helping the geriatric population. Her current project at NLIRH will allow her to research what are the barriers of community health centers in providing reproductive health care to Latina women. Throughout her internship, she will be able to acquire skills that will prepare her for her future endeavors. Her passions include educating the community, organizing and planning projects, and being the voice of Latinos. In her spare time she enjoys reading, music, and eating.
