Latinas Organizing for Leadership and Advocacy (e-LOLA) Training
Our e-LOLA is an initiative at the NLIRH designed to accommodate to the lives of busy young women by allowing them access to the materials presented at the traditional, rigorous two and a half day LOLA trainings.
Our next e-LOLA training will take place online on May 22nd, 23rd and 24th, via hour-long webinar sessions. This webinar training will provide Latina activists, ages 18-30, with sessions on: the history of the reproductive rights movement, community organizing models and specific skills building tools to prepare participants with the knowledge and resources for taking action on reproductive justice issues.
After the training, e-LOLA graduates will receive:
- Certificate of completion
- An NLIRH t-shirt, button and pen
- Our signature LOLA curriculum
Graduates will also continue to be part of NLIRH’s larger network of Latina advocates through our Alumni Network, with priority access to cafecitos, future trainings and invitations to regional NLIRH events.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
1. What if I can only attend part of the training?
We only have a limited number of slots and we want to make sure that everyone who is selected can participate in every webinar session. Unfortunately, we will not be able to accommodate participants that cannot attend all three sessions.
2. I have never been active on reproductive rights issues; can I still apply?
This training is for Latinas of all backgrounds and experiences between the ages of 18 and 30. During the training we will devote an entire session to the history of the reproductive rights movement as well as provide participants with reading material and resources.
3. How much does the e-LOLA cost?
There is no charge for participating in the webinar sessions.
4. What is the application process?
Applications are now available! Make sure you submit your online application by May 11th. Submit the completed Google Document and if desired, send your resume with “e-LOLA: (your name) Resume” in subject line to Rosario Quiroz at intern3 [at] latinainstitute [dot] org. After we review your application we will schedule a short interview with the top candidates.
