Latina Week of Action for Reproductive Justice: Virtual Cafecito

As part of the 2nd Annual Latina Week of Action for Reproductive Rights, please join the National Coalition for Immigrant Women’s Rights (NCIWR) to discuss the important roles that immigrant women play in our communities and the increasing pressures they are experiencing with hostility and negative rhetoric meant to demonize them. This important phone call will discuss the negative rhetoric and the harmful programs that have stemmed from it. The November 2010 election was a mixed result for Latinas and reproductive health, but one message came through: Latino/as are a powerful and active voting bloc. Unfortunately, the new leadership in the House of Representatives have indicated their intent to drastically limit access and affordability of abortions, and have also taken aim at the health care reform law.
