Where We Are

Virginia

TheVirgina Latina Advocacy Network (VA LAN) operates as an extension of NLIRH, serving as the voice and advocacy presence in Virginia. VA LAN works with activists throughout Northern Virginia to organize our communities around issues-based campaigns that impact our families and our lives.

The VA LAN was established in August 2012 following the Southeast Regional LOLA Training in Charlotte, North Carolina. This diverse activist base is comprised of poderos@s from around the country, who work in the nation's capital and surrounding communities promoting access to sexual and reproductive health services, immigration reform and community health. The VA LAN centralizes its work in Northern Virginia, promoting access to reproductive health services, immigration reform and community health, and advocating for healthy lives for Latinas, their families and their communities.
