We’re taking the fight for reproductive justice on the road with our partners from All* Above All, a campaign to build support for lifting abortion bans, for the Be Bold Road Trip! Join us!

This summer, the Be Bold Road Trip began its 10,000-mile journey to visit 12 cities across the country for one purpose: to end bans on abortion coverage for low-income women. At each stop, participants have the opportunity to learn more about issues, sign a wall of support, snap selfies, and hear abortion stories that personalize what has become a highly politicized issue. The road trip culminates in Washington, D.C. in mid-September to observe the anniversary of the Hyde Amendment, which has denied abortion coverage to women insured by Medicaid since 1976.

The mission of the Be Bold Road Trip is critical to our work as a reproductive justice organization. We know that Latin@s and other women of color are disproportionately lower-income than non-Latin@ white women, and are more likely to be insured by Medicaid. As a result, many of our herman@s are denied access to abortion care each year, simply based on their income.  We believe that every woman, no matter how much she makes, should be able to get safe and affordable abortion care when she needs it.

So if you’re as tired as we are of out of touch politicians interfering with our personal decision-making, make sure to check out the Be Bold Road Trip and follow the adventure on social media at #BeBold.

¡Que siga la lucha!
