Senior Director of Communications and Public Affairs


Elianne serves as the Senior Director of Communications and Public Affairs at the National Latina Institute for Reproductive Health where she leads the development and implementation of communications strategies to build Latina power for reproductive health and justice.   Elianne has years of experience serving in roles that include public relations, media campaigns, strategy development, creative direction, copywriting, public speaking, and TV commercial production.  Elianne’s work has sought to amplify the voices of social justice leaders and marginalized people on her Google+ show and other online/offline initiatives.

Recently, she was named an international committee member of Women Leaders of the Americas by the Documentation Sciences Foundation and the Organization of American States (OAS), as well as an Advisory Board member for the United Nations ModelUN News program. Prior to that, she was the Latino Digital Coalitions Desk for the Hillary Clinton presidential campaign. She was also Principal and CEO of Speak Hispanic and Founder of Border Kids Relief Project.

Recognition for her work includes being named an Iconic Woman Creating a Better World at the Women Economic Forum in The Hague, Netherlands, a  2017 Latina of Influence by Hispanic Lifestyle Magazine, 2016 Hispanic Leader by the U.S. Embassy of Spain and Fundación Carolina, 2015 Girl Scouts Distinguished Woman of the Year Award, 2014 Women Media Center Social Media Award, 2014 Maryland Governor Social Innovation award, 2013 SmartCEO Brava Awards and many more.

Elianne has a BA degree in Communications, Film and Video with a concentration in Advertising and Public Relations from the City University of New York and a Certification as a Teacher of English as a second Language from Regents College in London, UK
