Born and raised in Brooklyn, the importance of hard work, of having a voice as a Latinx, and giving back to the community were instilled from childhood.   Juana’s mother, a strong, Puerto Rican, single parent fostered her passion for service.  One of Juana’s first experiences was working alongside her mother at a local woman’s shelter.  Since then, she has worked with multiple organizations including Safe Horizon’s StreetWork Project, NY Cares, iMentor and The Lower East Side Girls Club. Juana attended Brooklyn College with a focus of Business Administration.  Juana currently resides in New Jersey with her husband and daughter.
