Dalissa Vargas

Dalissa Vargas serves as the Director of Development for the National Latina Institute for Reproductive Health in our Washington D.C. office. She is responsible for NLIRH’s fundraising efforts with foundations, individuals, and corporations throughout the U.S., as well as with board members and other stakeholders.

Ms. Vargas is an accomplished non-profit professional with over 15 years of fundraising and communications experience. She has dedicated her career to efforts that strengthen communities through empowerment, education and housing. Most recently serving as the Executive Director at Fairfax Futures, Ms. Vargas worked to build public private partnerships that create quality early childhood education opportunities for our most vulnerable populations and enhanced professional development for child care providers in Northern Virginia. Since moving to the Washington, D.C. area in 2004 Ms. Vargas has worked to expand the fundraising efforts of both the National Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship and The National Children’s Museum.

At Enterprise Community Partners, she led fundraising efforts that supported all national conference sponsorships as well as outreach efforts in support of ending homelessness. As a native New Yorker and the first in her family to graduate from college, Ms. Vargas took great pride in launching the New York Regional office for the Hispanic Scholarship Fund and is alumni of New York University.  Ms. Vargas currently resides with her daughter in the suburbs of Washington, DC.
