NLIRH seeks a Policy Analyst to help promote a national policy agenda designed to protect the reproductive health and rights of Latinas, while supporting the policy needs of the state-based Latina Advocacy Networks (LANs). The Policy Analyst must be able to evaluate complex public programs, projects and studies, proposed federal and state legislation and current law in order to promote NLIRH’s policy and advocacy work in the areas of abortion access, immigrant women’s rights and reproductive health equity.   The Policy Analyst will be supervised and report to the Director of Government Relations and Public Affairs out of our Washington, D.C. office. The person in this position will work as part of a dynamic team and in coalition with movement partners.

Job Description:  NLIRH seeks a Texas Latina Advocacy Network (TX LAN) State Policy and Advocacy Director for a newly-created position.  We are looking for a committed individual to lead our Texas state policy agenda to protect the reproductive health and rights of Latinas, and support the development and execution of our advocacy and organizing strategies state-wide.  The TX LAN State Policy and Advocacy Director must be able to craft politically savvy strategic campaigns that build the power for the community and evaluate complex public programs, proposed state legislation and current law in order to promote NLIRH’s state-based policy and advocacy work in the areas including abortion access, immigrant women’s rights and reproductive health equity. The position will serve as the TX LAN representative for state-wide coalitions and may be tapped as an English-language spokesperson for media. The TX LAN State Policy and Advocacy Director will be supervised and report to the Managing Director of Government Relations and Public Affairs out of our Washington, D.C. office, and will work closely with the Community Mobilization department to coordinate Texas advocacy campaigns.  The person in this position will work as part of a dynamic team and in coalition with movement partners.   

Position Location: Remote position.  Ideally based in Austin, Houston or San Antonio, Texas

POSITION LOCATION: The Field Coordinator will have a base at the Washington, D.C. office, but will operate predominantly from the field in Virginia. 

NLIRH seeks a Virginia Latina Advocacy Network (VA LAN) Field Coordinator. This is a new position, and we are looking for a committed individual who is passionate about organizing to raise the voices of Latinas in Virginia for policy change at all levels of government on issues that impact their lives, women’s health care and other social justice issues through grassroots advocacy. The VA LAN Field Coordinator will build the base of activists willing to take action on issues, develop community leadership, build relationships with key local, state and national stakeholders, partners, and elected officials, advance civic engagement strategies, and assist in campaign development and implementation.  The position will work to expand the grassroots movement for Reproductive Justice in the Northern Virginia community. Candidates must have experience in community/political organizing, and a commitment to reproductive health and rights and/or social justice issues. 

This position will directly report to the Community Mobilization Field Director.
