Maria Elena is responsible for increasing Latina’s participation in the Reproductive Justice Movement through the Latinas Organizing for Leadership and Advocacy (LOLA) Training Series, the Latina Advocacy Networks (LANs), and the Institute’s participation in cross-movement initiatives such as the Southwest Partnership.

At NLIRH, Stephanie is in charge of supporting, fostering and cultivating the development of Latina Advocacy Networks (LAN) located in different states around the nation. She also identifies, builds, and develops a diverse group of Latina leaders and activists to organize around Reproductive Justice issues at a local, state, and national level.
